After having finished the unit on “Going Shopping” in our Prepare books, we thought it would be a great idea to visit the Recoleta Mall so as to put into practice all the new vocabulary they had learnt at school.
We walked along, and once we had got there, we handed each of them a worksheet with various questions on it related to the Mall. The children were allowed to take some money to buy an ice-cream or a soft drink.
The students really enjoyed the visit and we got a chance to teach them how to behave in public places such as a shopping mall as well as while we are all walking along the street.
